When our website was set up to begin with, our photo gallery consisted of just four pictures from two walks. And the sun always shone...
| The middle of May 2006 and the sun shone. It was definitely a scorcher! Starting from Beecraigs Country Park we headed west and up Cockleroy Hill for excellent views over Linlithgow (and Grangemouth!) before heading east across the rolling West Lothian farmland. Then it was downhill to the Union Canal, a stop for much-needed ice-cream and back to Beecraigs. |

The pictures on the left were taken during our summer 2006 'away day' to the Isle of Bute. We met up at Glasgow Central Station for a rail journey to Weymss Bay followed by a ferry across to Rothesay. A walk through the town led us to open countryside and, following a short hill-climb, it was time for lunch and a chance to take in the scenery. A pleasant reminder of a hot July. |
