The following walks are listed in our current programme which runs until the end of October 2010. We hope you find plenty of interest and that you will be able to join us. The programme also includes a few social events, so why not join us?
Travel to the start of the Tuesday walks is usually by public transport (these are generally local), travel on Wednesdays is usually by private car (walkers are expected to share the cost), while travel on the Sunday walks will use a hired coach (cost £10).

| Wednesday 8th | River Almond and Union Canal Map 65, Grade B, Distance 13Km, Ascent 150m Good paths throughout. This is a route along a canal and a river valley. Highlights include Lin's Aqueduct and the Canal Centre at Ratho. Contact: 01786 447107 |

| Tuesday 14th | Walk 1 Cumbernauld Town Centre to Condorrat via Luggiebank Meet outside the Tryst Sports Centre in Cumbernauld. Buses X25, X37, X39, 45 and 47 stop at the Town Centre and buses X3, X5, FX5 and X80 stop on North Carbrain Road. Walk to Tryst entrance from each of these stops. | Tuesday 21st | Walk 1 Allandale Circular via Castlecary Woods Meet at Cumbernauld Town Centre North bus stop at 09.15 to catch bus X37 to first stop in Allandale. | Tuesday 28th | Walk 1 Kirkintilloch to Campsie Glen Meet at Cumbernauld Town Centre South bus stop at 09.45 to catch the no.47 bus to Kirkintilloch. Meet leader at entrance to car park next to St. Mary’s Church. Walk starts here at 10.20. Buses run frequently from Campsie Glen to Kirkintilloch, where we catch the 47 back to Cumbernauld. Departure times now vary, so be at the stop at 10 mins past the hour to be sure of catching the bus. | Wednesday 6th | Linn Park to Pollok Country Park Map 64, Grade C, Distance 11Km, Ascent negligible Note: this is a car-fee walk. We meet in Buchanan Bus Station, Glasgow at the "Winchers' Statue" at 10am prompt. We will then travel by bus to Linn Park. This is an easy urban linear walk. | Tuesday 19th | Walk 1 Airdrie South Path network by train Meet at Cumbernauld Station at 10.00 to catch the 10.10 train (bound for Motherwell) to Coatbridge Central station (40p concession fare applies, or buy a cheap day return). Return will be by the 13.45 train. Contact: 01236 726159 Walk 2 Waterside to Kirkintilloch via Stables Meet at Cumbernauld Town Centre South bus stop at 09.45 to catch the no.47 bus to Waterside Road End bus stop, on the main road into Kirkintilloch.
