Aberfoyle - September 2007

For the walks listed below we meet at 9.30am at the ASDA car park near McDonald's in Cumbernauld town centre. We travel by car to the start of the walk. Car sharing is expected and transport costs are shared among the occupants of each car.

The walks are usually about 6 - 8 miles long. They are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, although some fitness is required. Walking boots are recommended and it is advisable to bring waterproof clothing. A change of footwear and clothing may be left in the car to change into after the walk.

As a rule we have a couple of rest stops during the walk, so it is best to carry a rucksack and a sit-mat as well as something to eat and drink.

We normally have a 'social stop' after the walk - to relax and chat over a coffee, before heading home.

New Walkers are always welcome. Join us for a walk and see how much you enjoy it! Companionship, fresh air, exercise and FUN are all ingredients for a good day out. Walkers who take part on a regular basis are expected to join the Ramblers, our parent Group. Please read our Notes page for further information about walking with us.
